The space between panels on a comic page is called the gutter. Scott McCloud says the gutter is used to "take two separate images and transform them into a single idea." Golden Apple Comics has spent over 40 years as a cultural hub in the heart of Hollywood, and has long served as a sort of gutter space where creators and fans could gather together as a single community of comic book enthusiasts. Staffers Joe Annabi & Nick Schneider are hosting a series of conversations with some of the creative minds that frequent the shop. Their intention is to further solidify the ties that bind us all, to demystify the creative process, and to grow the reach of our favorite art form.
